Tyson Hugh Hooper

Tyson Hugh Hooper
Our son, Tyson Hugh Hooper, was born with coarctation of the aorta, hypoplastic arch, and a transitional avsd. His first open heart surgery reconstructed his aorta and was on day 9 of life. His second open heart repair was not anticipated to be needed until two or three years of age. Ty had other plans. We spent the vast majority of his first 3 months of life at Vanderbilt as he went into heart failure and was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. As a result, the medical team concluded that he needed the repair much sooner than usually recommended, and at just shy of 3 months old Ty underwent his second life saving open heart surgery. God has already worked so many miracles in Ty's life and the life of our family and we know he is using our story. Because of this, we are grateful for Ty's special heart and feel beyond blessed that God chose us to travel this road. We ask for prayers as Ty continues to heal. We are praying for a full recovery and life without restrictions for Ty. We are praying for God to use our family and Ty for His glory.

Thank you to each and every person who supports us through prayer, giving, or just by loving on our family! We are humbled and blessed by all of the ways the Lord is providing for us and know that he is using Ty and his story to do great things!

Bell Buckle and more....

Mom and I had a wonderful Friday night and Saturday morning together this weekend! She arrived Friday afternoon and we relaxed for a little while at home talking and catching up! Around dinner time we headed to one of our favorite restaurants to visit together, Macaroni Grill, and then went to shop around the avenue! We didn't have tons of time and we were quite worn out from our week of teaching so we only hit our favorites: Ann Taylor (for me) and Cold Water Creek (for mom), and the for both of us Barnes and Noble, Yankee Candle, and Hallmark! :-) I thought I would post some of our finds!

I found this ADORABLE Countdown to Christmas cookie sheet that is magnetic! I can't wait until December so I can put it on my refrigerator! Each cookie is a magnet... the cookie sheet is numbered 1-25 under each cookie! SO CUTE!

Mom got this SUPER CUTE ornament for me! You all know how much I love to cook! :-) I thought this was really adorable and right up my ally so mom treated me to an early Christmas gift! :-)
I also got a couple shirts at Ann Taylor... more practical that anything else... long sleeved, crew neck shirts that I can wear under sweaters and things this winter. Mom got a couple things as well and then we hit Kroger for some ice cream and headed home to chillax and enjoy a movie on TV!
Saturday we got up, got dressed, and headed to Bell Buckle, TN where there is the Webb School Craft Show every year! It is absolutely H-U-G-E and mom and I have been going together for several years now! It has become a tradition! We even have a traditional parking spot, ha! This year it was misty and FREEZING, but we put on our big girl panties (and our coats!) and dealt with it and boy were we glad! We found some really neat things and both got some things for ourselves and for those on our Christmas lists! I can't share everything I got today, because most of what I purchased fall in the gift category, but I will share one thing...
(I am SO getting in the Holiday Spirit with Thanksgiving and Christmas right around the corner!) I also purchased a beautiful piece of framed art that quotes John 15, but I will save that for another post after I have hung it up.
After Bell Buckle we came home and had a lunch! Mom made the most delicious apple salad and I had prepared homemade pimento cheese with olives and homemade egg and Gorgonzola salad with pancetta! It was a wonderful and light lunch! Then we recharged and headed to Hobby Lobby where we shopped some more! I could spend a fortune on all their decorating stuff, but I didn't! I just got stuff to make hair bows (my latest project, tee hee hee) and left it at that! Mom got these cute little boxes...

...to put Lily and Bentlee's Halloween treats in! She is so thoughtful and so together! I love it and I thought these were just perfect! I love all the random stuff you can always find at Hobby Lobby and chances are it'll be half off... and it was... the boxes AND my bow making stuff! Yay!
I hope your Saturday was as full of fall wonderfulness as mine! I have the rest of my Saturday to tell you about, but I have lots of pictures to go with it too, so I'll save it for another post! Just to give you a hint it has to do with my two best galz and their precious little boys!!! :-) In the mean time...
HAPPY FALL Y'ALL!

That does sound like fun. I hate that I missed it! I love the Bell Buckle craft show! I already told Malcolm next year I want to be in TN for that!
