Tyson Hugh Hooper

Tyson Hugh Hooper
Our son, Tyson Hugh Hooper, was born with coarctation of the aorta, hypoplastic arch, and a transitional avsd. His first open heart surgery reconstructed his aorta and was on day 9 of life. His second open heart repair was not anticipated to be needed until two or three years of age. Ty had other plans. We spent the vast majority of his first 3 months of life at Vanderbilt as he went into heart failure and was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. As a result, the medical team concluded that he needed the repair much sooner than usually recommended, and at just shy of 3 months old Ty underwent his second life saving open heart surgery. God has already worked so many miracles in Ty's life and the life of our family and we know he is using our story. Because of this, we are grateful for Ty's special heart and feel beyond blessed that God chose us to travel this road. We ask for prayers as Ty continues to heal. We are praying for a full recovery and life without restrictions for Ty. We are praying for God to use our family and Ty for His glory.

Thank you to each and every person who supports us through prayer, giving, or just by loving on our family! We are humbled and blessed by all of the ways the Lord is providing for us and know that he is using Ty and his story to do great things!

"Hey! Hey you.....

...You know what to do!
You gotta ROCK with the YELLOW
and JAM with the GREEN!"
"Noise, Noise,
Let's make some noise!
You can't be a Jacket
If you don't make NOISE!"
Lily is enjoying her second season of being a middle school cheerleader!  lol
One of the perks of being tight with the cheerleading coach! ;-)
She knows all the cheers and all the cheerleaders and even has a matching uniform!
It's fun to go to games with her!  She knows so many people from our school... kids and players and cheerleaders from past years and their parents, all the faculty and staff!  She's like a little superstar!
Grandmommy and Papaw came to one of our last football games - our homecoming game!  It was so fun to show them what Chris and I have worked so hard on with the football team and cheerleaders!
This one is a Daddy's girl!
She reminds me so much of the little girl on Remember the Titans!  She is such a little gym rat going to open gym, football and basketball practice, and cheerleading practice!  And....?  SHE LOVES IT!  We miss our old school, but I think we all three agree that it's great to be a Yellow Jacket!

A lemon...

After weeks of back and forth trips to Best Buy and multiple conversations with Geek Squad, my lap top was officially declared a lemon.  Thankfully, there is a "no lemon" policy, and they replaced my computer!  Thanking God for the blessing, because I would have been sick if I had to shell out more cash on a computer!  I am now holding my new Toshiba!  I have a bad taste after my experience with my HP, so I thought I would try something new.  Still getting used to the new one, but so thankful!  Another blessing... as I was loading pictures on the new computer and going to order prints from Wallgreens I discovered something I hadn't thought of... I upload my photos to Wallgreens for printing purposes.  This means for a little (or a lot) of cash, I can order CDs of ALL of my lost photos from Wallgreens and I'll have them forever again!  All the way back to 2008!  So relieved.  So, I'm back.  I know I've probably lost the few readers I had, but maybe I'll get you back soon!  I missed blogging and reading all of your blogs!  Can't wait to catch up!!
