Tyson Hugh Hooper

Tyson Hugh Hooper
Our son, Tyson Hugh Hooper, was born with coarctation of the aorta, hypoplastic arch, and a transitional avsd. His first open heart surgery reconstructed his aorta and was on day 9 of life. His second open heart repair was not anticipated to be needed until two or three years of age. Ty had other plans. We spent the vast majority of his first 3 months of life at Vanderbilt as he went into heart failure and was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. As a result, the medical team concluded that he needed the repair much sooner than usually recommended, and at just shy of 3 months old Ty underwent his second life saving open heart surgery. God has already worked so many miracles in Ty's life and the life of our family and we know he is using our story. Because of this, we are grateful for Ty's special heart and feel beyond blessed that God chose us to travel this road. We ask for prayers as Ty continues to heal. We are praying for a full recovery and life without restrictions for Ty. We are praying for God to use our family and Ty for His glory.

Thank you to each and every person who supports us through prayer, giving, or just by loving on our family! We are humbled and blessed by all of the ways the Lord is providing for us and know that he is using Ty and his story to do great things!

4th Annual Super Bowl Birthday Bash!

This weekend was, of course, Superbowl Sunday! (WORD!) Which means... it was time for my 4th Annual Super Bowl Birthday Bash! That's right... my same group of friends has been getting together to celebrate my birthday and the Superbowl together for 4 years running! That's hard to believe!

Of course we have a Three Amigos shot! La, Me, and Moo. These ladies are such amazing women and wonderful hostesses! La was gracious enough to volunteer her awesome bonus room for the par-tay!

Me and my handsome man! I am so lucky to have someone so special in my life. I used to wonder why I could never meet Mr. Right and now I know it was because God had a plan all his own! Chris has been worth every moment of the wait and the blessings that we have brought to each others lives excite us about our future!

Dawson was ready in his football shirt! He is talking more and more every day and is so much fun! When we got their, we were pleasantly surprised when he exclaimed, "Aunt Meagan and Chris!" SO SWEET!
It was Vance's actual birthday and we celebrated together! He had a blast playing with Dawson! He also had fun lovin' on Web! (above)

Here's the whole Hutchings bunch! Look at all those smiles! I don't know about you, but I think this is one good lookin' family! I am so blessed and enriched through my relationships with them! I truly consider you guys a part of my family!

Baby Jack getting some QT with his Aunt Meag! He is all smiles and growing SO fast!

Can you get over those blue eyes? Unbelievable!
Overall it was a WONDERFUL party! Laid back with friends, football, and tons of food! The kids played, the adults visited... it was awesome!
La, Moo, thank you so much for a wonderful birthday! I love you girls so much - you are truly sisters of the heart and I don't' know what I would do without you!
