Tyson Hugh Hooper

Tyson Hugh Hooper
Our son, Tyson Hugh Hooper, was born with coarctation of the aorta, hypoplastic arch, and a transitional avsd. His first open heart surgery reconstructed his aorta and was on day 9 of life. His second open heart repair was not anticipated to be needed until two or three years of age. Ty had other plans. We spent the vast majority of his first 3 months of life at Vanderbilt as he went into heart failure and was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. As a result, the medical team concluded that he needed the repair much sooner than usually recommended, and at just shy of 3 months old Ty underwent his second life saving open heart surgery. God has already worked so many miracles in Ty's life and the life of our family and we know he is using our story. Because of this, we are grateful for Ty's special heart and feel beyond blessed that God chose us to travel this road. We ask for prayers as Ty continues to heal. We are praying for a full recovery and life without restrictions for Ty. We are praying for God to use our family and Ty for His glory.

Thank you to each and every person who supports us through prayer, giving, or just by loving on our family! We are humbled and blessed by all of the ways the Lord is providing for us and know that he is using Ty and his story to do great things!

Have you seen...

Well... between being sick with a cold, basketball games, and a visit from Mom I have been a busy girl and posting hasn't made the agenda! So, in an effort to catch up quick, I thought I would post my "Have you seen...!" Three things that are on my wish list that I also think make great gifts for others!
First up...

Hamilton Beach 3-in-1 Crock Pot! It has three different crock sizes so you can cook small things like dips and appetizers and large things like meals for many, or in-between, when you're just cookin' for a couple! I just think it's genius!

Next...

The Panini Press! My mom is the Panini champion! She does the best combos.... turkey and olive tappinade, Ham and caramelized onion, tomato-basil-mozzarella! SOOOO good! I have been keeping my eyes peeled for a good and affordable one!!! Any suggestions?

Last... and non-kitchen related...

Corn Hole! Okay, for anyone wanting to know the perfect and unique gift for the special man in your life? This IS IT! Any man who loves football, tailgating, or hanging out with "the boys" outside will LOVE this game! It's great at tailgates, great for family get together, great for back yard barbecues! You can play in grass, on pavement, and really, even inside if you have the space! It's great!

So, there are three things I'd like to get and that I think are just too cool and make excellent gift ideas!! What's on your wish list? I'd love to hear about the cool things you have discovered that you have or want!!

I HAVE seen that crockpot and I am in love - seriously genius with three different sized pots!

Don't know what a pannini is...sorry :-)

corn hole games are great! We have one that looks just like that, only the hole is a little smaller, and we toss washers in the hole! It's louder though, unless you cover it with carpet.

The Crock Pot is a neat idea. Why didn't someone do that sooner....on second thought, why didn't I come up with is to I could have the credit and the $$$?
What's on my Christmas list? I've been asked that a lot lately, adn the problem is I actualyl don't have one. I got Ella and that was pretty much all I wanted.

I too am on the hunt for the affordable pannini. My fave thing I found for Gentry this year is an electric grill cleaning brush! No more throwing your back out to scrub off the charry bits!
